Motorola Introduces MOTOROKR U9 in India


Motorola launched MOTOROKR U9 in India. ROKR U9 is made seamless, small and light weight, and has been designed to fit in pocket or hand.

ROKR U9 comes with an elegant form factor, Stereo Bluetooth 4, CrystalTalk Technology, external touch sensitive music controls and a unique external display that reveals floating, animated screensavers that appear on the external display.

It enables easy transition from phone to music and back again, and also allows one-touch access to library and pauses music as calls come through.

Its integrated music player supports multiple audio files2: Windows WMAv10 plus Janus DRM, MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC+ enhanced. It has a USB 2.0 connection for speedy transfers and data access.

Up to 25MB of on-board user memory and an optional microSD memory card enables storage of up to 4GB of music, pictures and other media on an optional microSD memory card. Its Innovative CrystalTalk technology offers better call clarity.

The Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology enables users to enjoy a wireless mobile stereo experience4. Advanced “speaker independent” voice recognition dialing and talking phone features take “hands free” to the next level.

The phone also features a 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x zoom, multi-shot feature, video capture and playback delivers quality, printable5 and sharable images. Other capabilities include messaging via MMS1, SMS, Push Email1.

The phone supports Motorola Setup1, Backup1 and Text1 that allow easy setup of the device for Internet browsing, phonebook and text message backup over the air on to secure servers as a free service to users.

Its Music ID1 feature allows users to easily identify any song. Music ID1 is a Song Identification service that enables a user to identify the artist and album information of songs being played in the immediate surroundings. The user simply captures the music being played on the handset, the application then sends this information to a server over GPRS to match the song with its existing library and transmits relevant information back to the user.

The external display has touch sensitive digital keys that let users control their music player from the outside.
